In the early 1900's the Smokers handbook would have been in every gentleman's smoking room, club and on every tobacconists counter. Now a valuable source of information for today's collectors they contain lists of manufacturers, brands, prices and many fascinating adverts.

The Cigarette World  was an independent trade journal for the retail tobacco trade that was first published in August 1896. The magazine offers a fascinating insight into the tobacco industry and the products that were on sale at the time and provides many interesting articles on topical issues of the day.

There are 131 issues available that were originally published between August 1896 and August 1909 all of which are re-produced with the permission of the British Library* and the considerable generosity of our friend Dheeraj Khiytani who spent many hours photographing each and every page.
